When you look out over the spa town from our terrace, you don't just see Merano. You are looking at the former capital of the county of Tyrol. This means a postcard view full of historic buildings, museums and paths that bear witness to Merano's colourful history. We'll show you a few highlights here!

Castles and palaces

Trauttmansdorff Castle, the Prince's Castle, Rametz Castle and Kallmünz Castle. These are just a few of the princely buildings in the spa town of Merano that were used as summer residences by the European aristocracy. Here you can follow in the footsteps of counts, princes and even the empress amidst Alpine-Mediterranean flair.

Museums and exhibitions

Modern art or rather relics from times gone by, stories of women, mountain farmers, tourism or wine. There are numerous museums in and around Merano/Meran that offer interesting permanent exhibitions as well as constantly changing programmes. So a visit to a museum is never boring!

The cult gardens of Merano

The Touriseum and the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle are now considered one of Merano's landmarks and should not be missing from the programme, especially during a spring visit. The scent of blossom and the splendour of colour are not only a delight for the bees in the area!

Immerse everything please!

Probably Merano's biggest bathtub, or rather tubs, because with fifteen indoor pools open all year round and an additional ten outdoor pools in summer, you'll be spoilt for choice as to where you'd like to jump in.
